The Greatest Kingdom is the first episode of The RWBYA Adventures. It will be released in two parts.

Plot

Part 1

[The scene opened up in Argus, a town which shook with the sound of a loud roar. The citizens looked and saw a gigantic Grimm with an appearance similar to a Spinosaurus approaching from the water. Terra walked forward, putting her arm around Sapphron as she reached her, the latter holding their child Adrian. Next to them stepped Alan, who had his old outfit but the Simplicitrix was in gauntlet form. Alan sighed and then bolted towards the Grimm. Activating the Simplicitrix, Alan pressed down on the core, changing into Cannonbolt and almost immediately becoming his sphere form.]

[The incline of the city caused him to pick up speed as he bobbed and weaved between civilians. Reaching the shoreline, he hit a rock which propelled him towards the Leviathan Grimm. The Leviathan simply swatted him away, causing him to fly towards a manta-shaped airship which was an odd greyscale. Cannonbolt quickly shifted into Upgrade as he hit the ship, splattering on its windshield and surprising those inside: Teams RWBY and JNR, as well as Oscar, Qrow, and an elderly woman. In the surprise, the greyscale went away. Upgrade quickly merged with the airship then unmerged inside, abruptly transforming back.]

Nora: ...What just happened?

Alan: I'll explain later. Anyone got an idea for taking down the giant monster?

Ruby: I've got one, but I'm gonna need to get close.

Alan: I'm sure I can help with that.

[Alan opened up the side of the airship then jumped out, heading straight for the water. He activated the Simplicitrix, becoming Ripjaws as he fell into the water. Speeding off towards the monster, Ripjaws quickly hit the Simplicitrix not far from it. The Leviathan stopped just short of the two sets of hardlight shields separating it from Argus. It turned, noticing the water rippling nearby. Suddenly, Way Big prung from the water, grabbing the Leviathan by the snout. He then wrapped his arm around the creature, holding it still. Ruby came flying in front of them on top of an icy, giant hornet, made from Weiss' Semblance. Coming to a halt, Ruby closed her eyes. There was an awkward moment of silence as Way Big struggled to keep the Grimm in place.]

Way Big: ...Do you mind doing that thing you had in mind now?

[The Leviathan managed to let out a roar from its mostly closed mouth before Way Big shut it again. Ruby opened her eyes, startled by the sound of the beast. Her breath began increasing as her eyes dilated.]

Ruby: JINN!

[Everything slowed to a halt. Airships stopped mid-air, Way Big and the Leviathan stopped in place, and the icy hornet's wings slowed. Ruby, however, stayed moving, and sighed.]

Ruby: I'm sorry. I don't have a question for you. I just needed a little more time.

[Ruby turned to see Jinn floating behind her. She was a giant woman with blue skin and deep blue eyes. She had golden chains and shackles on her wrists and waist.]

Jinn: I know. And while you don't seek knowledge, just this once, I shall give it freely. I will not allow you to use me without a question again... [smirks] Even if this was clever.

[Ruby nodded then turned back to the Leviathan, closing her eyes again. Time slowly started back up. Ruby thought about her teammates, Team JNR, Pyrrha, her father, Qrow... her mother. With time fully restored, Ruby abruptly opened her eyes, letting out a flash of bright white light, petrifying the Grimm in stone. The crowd of Argus began cheering. Way Big looked surprised, but then pulled away from the Leviathan. He crossed his arms at the wrist, charging up a bright red cosmic beam which disintegreated the stone Grimm. Ruby flew up to meet Way Big.]

Way Big: I've fought quite a few of those things. Never seen someone do that though.

Ruby: ...It's pretty rare.

[The two looked up to see a large mech suit approaching, about the same size as the Leviathan. The front panel of it opened up to reveal Cordovin: a short woman with grey hair, and a white military outfit. Ruby looked up at her defiantly.]

Cordovin: The Atlas military can deal with the stragglers.

Ruby: ...What are you saying?

Cordovin: I'm saying I don't think anyone would notice if one more ship went missing in my lenghty report.

[Ruby smiled as Cordovin closed the front panel of the mech before running off to fight some of the other Grimm nearby. Way Big looked over at Ruby.]

Way Big: ...Who was that?

[The scene changed to after dark as the airship flew through the sky. The elderly lady, Maria Calavera, was piloting the ship with Qrow as copilot. Maria was about the same height as Cordovin, and had dark skin and white hair. She wore a two-toned blue dress and a necklace, and had a cane next to her seat. She also had futuristic goggles where her eyes should be.]

Maria: We should have just enough fuel to make it.

Ruby: Thanks, Miss Calavera.

[Ruby went to walk to the back of the ship, but Qrow stopped her.]

Qrow: You did great out there today, kid. Just don't go giving me heart attacks like that again.

[Qrow went to take a swig from his flask but sighed, setting it down instead. Ruby put her arms around his neck.]

Ruby: I love you, too.

[Ruby then turned to go to the back where she saw the others, as well as Alan.]

Ruby: Thanks for your help out there.

Alan: Hey, fighting giant monsters is kind of in the job description. Our interests aligned.

Weiss: Is that why you're coming with us?

Alan: Actually, I'm coming with you because I'm extremely bored. You people seem exciting, and that's exactly what I need after my old universe.

Yang: Your old... what?

Alan: I'll explain the specifics later. Point is, I come from an alternate universe. And I was just... bored. Very very very bored. So I left. And here I am. Originally I thought I wound up somewhere else boring but then all the monsters starting showing up... I think I'll stay here for a while, actually.

Ruby: Yeah, this is a place where a fourteen year old farm hand can land an airship.

[As Ruby said this, she motioned to Oscar, who seemed surprise.]

Jaune: Yeah, that was pretty impressive.

Blake: We would've been totally stranded without you.

Oscar: Thanks, but... I've been meaning to tell you that... I didn't land the airship by myself.

Nora: Wait, are you saying Ozpin took control?

Oscar: No, he just guided me, but then he disappeared again.

Yang: Does that mean he's been watching us this whole time?

[Alan raised his hand up as if he was a student in class.]

Alan: Hey, um, yeah, quick question: Who in the fuck knuckles is Ozpin?

Blake: [smirking] We'll explain the specifics later.

Qrow: Hey, everyone. if you've never seen Atlas in person, you don't wanna miss this.

[Everyone got to a better vantage point to see.]

Ruby: Is it weird that I'm kind of nervous?

Yang: Nah, I'll believe we've made it to Atlas when I see it.

Weiss: Well... Believe it.

[The clouds in front of the airship separated, revealing Atlas on its floating iceberg above the dreary city of Mantle below. Everyone gawked at the sight.]

Maria: Y'know, you make the trip up to Atlas over and over, but you never get used to that view.

[One of Maria's goggles then glitched, moving around haphazardly, causing her to hit it..]

Maria: Oh, come on!

[Ruby looked over at Weiss and noticed she was looking up, rather concerned.]

Ruby: Weiss? What is it?

[Everyone followed Weiss' gaze up to see a huge fleet of airships above them, clearly in an aggressive and defensive formation.]

Weiss: I knew all of our ships were called back but...

Qrow: They're set up like they're expecting an attack.

[Suddenly, a woman's voice came over the airship's radio.]

Woman (voice): Manta 5-1. Welcome home.

Part 2

Woman (voice): Please continue your approach to Atlas docking bay Omega-12. A security team will meet you there. Over.

[The lot of them continued looking at the gigantic Atlas air fleet.]

Ruby: I don’t understand. What’s happening here?

Qrow: I don’t know.

Jaune: But we are here. We got the lamp to Atlas, so I guess we land and get some answers.

Weiss: I’m not so sure.

[Everyone turned their attention to Weiss.]

Weiss: I’ve never seen our forces deployed so aggressively before. If we land in a stolen ship, there’s no way the security team will let us anywhere near Ironwood. They might even take me back to my father.

[Everyone's expressions became something of disheartened until Weiss perked her head up with an idea.]

Weiss: Winter! [to Maria] Get some space between us and the fleet!

Maria: You don't need to tell me twice.

[Maria flew down towards the city of Mantle, away from the fleet. As Weiss pulled up her scroll, Alan began cycling through the Simplicitrix.]

Alan: I'm gonna get a look at things for myself.

Blake: Are you sure that's such a good idea?

Alan: They won't even know I'm there.

[Alan hit down the core and became a small, batter-like alien covered in black skin, with two red lightning bolts on his torso, and his eyes glowing a bright red. He had a glowing red dot on the top of his head, and glowing bolts on his arms, with the Simplicitrix on his chest.]

Buzzshock: BUZZSHOCK!

[Buzzshock dispersed himself into red electricity and flew out of the airship and down towards Mantle. Landing on a roof, he looked up to see a recording of Ironwood on a large screen on the side of a building.]

Ironwood: I cannot express our appreciation enough. Many describe these as uncertain times...

Buzzshock: Well, if that doesn't sound like every advertisement back in my universe...

Ironwood: ...And while that may be the case for the rest of the world, I can tell you what is certain. The Kingdom of Atlas will remain strong, and it will remain safe. That is my promise.

[Buzzshock lightninged over to another roof and saw the airship with the other heroes pass by another screen that showed Winter instead of Ironwood.]

Winter: A reminder. Failure to cooperate with Atlas military personnel is a punishable offense. If your sector is under lockdown…

Buzzshock: I'm gonna guess Weiss' plan is out the window now.

[The airship landed off in the distance. Buzzshock continued flying around the city in lightning form, heavily judging a lot of the decisions made reagrding how its citizens would be treated. Eventually he camed to a stop and watched the heroes having a non-violent altercation with two drunk men. One of them was suddenly lifted into the air and thrown into a dumpster behind him, with everyone turning to see Weiss had done it. They then hurried around the corner to not be caught by some approaching Atlas security. Buzzshock speedily went after them, shocking the other man to the ground as he went. As the heroes approached a door from where someone with mechanical legs exited, Buzzshock landed and transformed back.]

Alan: I don't like this place. At all.

Nora: [crosses arms] You can say that again.

Maria: No need to worry. I know someone in here who can help us.

Alan: You guys go ahead. I'm gonna stick around out here.

Weiss: You alright?

Alan: Just a bit paranoid. I wanna be able to make a quick and easy escape if I need to. This city has me on edge.

Blake: I know what you mean.

[The others entered the building as Alan stood against the wall, visibly uncomfortable. About fifteen minutes later, the streetlights changed from green to red as an alarm blared. Alan looked around as the heroes came back out.]

Alan: I didn't do anything!

[Rounding a corner, the heroes saw several Atlesian soldiers being attacked by saber tooth tiger Grimm. Ren headed straight for them, drawing his weapons.]

Nora: Hey!

[Disgruntled, Nora turned back to Jaune before smirking, then ran at him. Jaune proceeded to put up his shield, allowing Nora to jump on it and propel herself towards the Grimm, pulling out her hammer and bashing one into dust. Qrow drew his blade and activated its scythe mode, jumping towards a Grimm and wrapping the blade around its neck before beheading it, leaving it dusted.]

Alan: Y'all are fuckin' crazy. ...I like it.

[Alan activated the Simplicitrix and hit the core. His body grew in size, becoming much larger and rounder with his head and body almost becoming one. His hands changed from five fingered to just three, while his legs became stubby. His skin turned to a dark teal with lighter teal spots scattered across him, and his eyes bulged out and turned red with mishapen pupils.]

Toadal Annihilation: TOADAL ANNIHILATION!

[Toadal Annihilation began running at a Grimm before letting out a loud ribbit, resulting in the Grimm exploding. He continued plowing through the creatures, killing off each with a fiery infero. He jumped on a final one, creating a similar explosion but of a notably bigger size. Landing on the ground, Toadal Annihilation tucked in his arms and legs and began rolling back to the group, only for one last Grimm to come around the corner. The Grimm charged towards Toadal Annihilation, but was cut off as it got destroyed by a green laser from the sky. Confued, Toadal Annihilation transformed back, and followed the gaze of the others into the sky to see a humanoid figure landing.]

[The figure was revealed to be that of a young woman. She had long, orange hair with a black bow on the back. Around her neck was a black collarpiece with a ribbon, the center of which appeared to have a green power button with a golden panel around it. Her outfit appeared similar to a Victorian era dress, the upper portion of which was silver while the lower portion was an olive green. The abdominal region of the outfit was black with gold buttons, matching her fleece gloves. She had thigh-high stockings and black boots, all of which had green light that turned off as she landed. Her eyes were a vibrant green.]

Ruby: Penny...?

[Penny turned to the group, then an extremely excited look came over her face as she gasped.]

Penny: Sal...

Ruby: [confused] Huh?

Penny: ...U...

[Peny kneeled down with her right foot stepped back. A whirring noise was heard.]

Ruby: Uhh....

Penny: ...TATIONS!

[Penny's stockings and boots lit up again as she launched herself towards Ruby, who began to fearfully flail her arms around while screaming. Penny sped by the other heroes, and the sound of her crashing into Ruby was heard. Penny quickly got to her feet while Ruby groaned getting up. The other heroes put away their weapons and approached.]

Penny: It is such a pleasure to see you all again!

Ruby: Penny, I... I-I thought you...

Pietro: Died?

[Pietro, an older man with dark skin and white hair, riding on a green and pale yellow chair that had legs, approached.]

Pietro: Well, I suppose in a manner of speaking, she did. When Amity Arena was returned to Atlas, I was able to retrieve her core and rebuild her.

Penny: And now I'm as good as new! Better, even! And now I'm the official protector of the city! I'm not gonna let a little ripping to shreds stop me!

Weiss: This is...

Blake: Strangely wholesome.

Yang: Sounds like Penny to me.

[Penny excitedly grabbed Ruby by the shoulders.]

Penny: We have so much to catch up about! I cannot wait!

[The city's alarm blared again. Penny's demeanor remained the same.]

Penny: It seems we will have to wait!

[Penny let go of Ruby and then took off again.]

Penny: [speedily] Let’s talk more later. I can’t wait to hear about all your adventures! I’m very excited for the whole experience!

[The heroes watched Penny's exit silently, clearly surprised by the scenario.]

Nora: I can’t tell if I completely understand what’s going on or have, like, a million questions.

Pietro: And thankfully, I have about a thousand answers. But let’s get out of this weather first.

Maria: I have absolutely no idea who that child was. Is she important somehow?

Alan: You and me both.

Jaune: That was unexpected.

Ren: Never a dull moment.

Qrow: But I wouldn’t say unwelcome. I was honestly expecting things to go a lot rougher.

[Everyone began making their way back to Pietro's pharmacy. Suddenly, one by one, the huntsmen, huntresses, and Alan were taken down, their arms bound at the wrists by bolases and dropping their weapons, sans the Simplicitrix. The Ace-Ops suddenly jumped down from the nearby buildings. Clover Ebi, a middle aged man with brown hair and green eyes, wearing a sleeveless Atlas uniform. Harriet Bree, a dark skinned woman with a mohawk stylized similar to rabbit ears, and an outfit stylized differnetly from Clover's. Marrow Amin, a dark skinned dog Faunus whose trait was a deep blue-grey tail. Elm Ederne, a tall and muscular darker skinned woman who bore foot wrappings rather than shoes or boots. And Vine Zeki, a thin and lanky man with inhumanely white skin, and blue circle tattooes on his face. Qrow scowled up at Clover.]

Qrow: Hey, buddy! I'm a licensed huntsman! Just helped save everyone?

[Clover seemed to ignore this, instead picking up Qrow's weapons as the other Ace-Ops did for the other weapons. Clover then went and picked up the Relic of Knowledge from Ruby.]

Clover: Hm. Let’s get them loaded into the next transport.

Ruby: Please! We were just trying to help!

Pietro: What is the meaning of this? [coughs[ What are the Ace-Ops even doing down here in Mantle?

Ruby: Ace-Ops?

Clover: Doctor, good to see you. Well, we heard a report of an unauthorized ship making an unauthorized landing, followed by an unauthorized use of weapons by unlicensed Huntsmen.

Pietro: If we could just talk this out--

Clover: [tossing the Relic between his hands] They’ll be able to talk this out once they get to Atlas. Let’s move out!

[Just as the Ace-Ops went to leave, there was a bright red flash in the middle of the group. Turning, Clover, along with his team, was surprised to see the bolas that was once holding Alan's wrists was now in his hands melting from Goop's acid.]

Goop: I don't exactly have a good history with authority figures.

Clover: Is that so?

[Clover nodded and a group of Atlesian foot soldiers proceeded to take the other heroes. Goop was consumed in a red light as he changed into a large, mechanical, dinosaur-like alien made of white, silver, and grey-blue metal. He had transparent plates running down his spine, and his tail was jet black with similar transparent spikes on it. He had several spots of red energy across his body, and he opened his mouth, revealing its red interior, before letting out a mechanical roar. Clover readied his weapon of choice, a combination between a whip, grappling hook, and fishing pole.]

Clover: I guess it's time to take a new approach.

Trivia

• This episode takes its name from the first episode of RWBY Volume 7.
  • The first part of the episode is based on the ending of Volume 6, making it the first and so far only episode of The RWBYA Adventures to deal with events outside of Volume 7.
• There were three instances of one alien being considered to appear before being replaced in production:
  • Buzzshock's appearance was originally going to be Ghostfreak, but was to changed to show Alan using the canon Ben 10 aliens he does not have in the series proper.
  • Toadal Annihilation's appearance was originally going to be Blamurai.
  • Mechasaurus' appearance was originally going to be Water Hazard.
