The Agent is an alternate counterpart of Alan Nomaly. Once human, he would eventually be granted Time Lord physiology by the High Council of Gallifrey. Despite being a counterpart of Alan, it is unclear what the Agent's original name was, as it is known that some counterparts are named Richard instead, so either is likely.

Appearance

The Agent appears human. Originally, he appeared like Alan Nomaly, given he is an alternate counterpart of him. This remained between his human self and when he became a Time Lord, being his face for his first incarnation. His first incarnation would eventually grow old, gaining white hair and shaving his facial hair. He donned a brown suit with a darker brown overcoat, and a tan hat. He had a white undershirt with an orange tie.

The Second Agent is an older, black male, with greying hair and facial hair. He wears a pink suit, and has black goggles with magenta lenses. He also has a variant of his suit that is white.

The Third Agent takes the appearance of a Spanish man, with dark hair. He wears an almost black suit with a grey shirt.

The Fourth Agent, Korean in appearance, bears the most casual attire of any incarnation, barring when the Agent was still acclimating to his First incarnation. Despite the casual attire, however, the design of this incarnation is one of the more chaotic ones. He wears a half-black, half-white shirt that appears like a UFO conspiracy theory piece of merchandise, along with two-toned grey pants, and his shoes are mismatched. He also has 3D glasses. His hair appeared as half-pink, half-green, which was a natural occurrence of this regeneration.

The Fifth Agent also takes on a casual style, having an olive yellow shirt underneath a grey jacket, and grey pants. He also has red-tinted glasses and a blue baseball cap. However, he is known to wear more classy outfits as well, as seen with his black and purple suit in Through Your Eyes.

The Sixth Agent goes back to the eccentric, wearing a coat colored yellow, white, purple, and black overtop a black shirt with a white tie that has black spots. His pants are purple, and he has black gloves with yellow details. He also takes on the Second Agent's goggles.

The Seventh Agent wears a primarily black outfit underneath a blue suit jacket, and also has a light blue bowtie.

The Eighth Agent, the Agent's current incarnation, for some mysterious reason sees a return to his original face. Upon regeneration, the Eight Agent wears a black jacket overtop a black vest, with two shirts underneath: a red and black plaid flannel overtop a regular white shirt. This outfit was accompanied by black pants and brown cowboy boots, and a tan cowboy hat. He is also known to take on an alternate outfit, that consists of blue jeans, a tan jacket, and a black shirt, with no hat. He wears various variations of both of these outfits. He also wears glasses again, as this incarnation's vision is impaired.

A future, unidentified incarnation of the Agent has also appeared, wearing a fully black outfit.

History

  • The First Agent debuted in The Start of a New Adventure. He saved the Simplicitrix from being destroyed, and put it in Alan's room for him to find, setting the story in motion. He is later seen watching Alan examine the Simplicitrix, and throws a rock at him, startling him, which causes him to transform into Mole-Stache.
  • In Through Your Eyes, the Fifth Agent messed with Richard's machine, causing it to switch the bodies of Alan and Alexis. He later switched their bodies back. Off-screen, he returns them to Alan's home, and also returns Gearo, Cerebronittion, and Troobel to prison.
  • In The Trial of Alan Nomaly, the Eighth Agent appeared as Alan's lawyer, and convinced Gearo to unlock Un-Named for Alan to use against Starbeard. He also foreshadowed the events of The Annihilators Part 1.
  • The Agent appeared in Alan 10 in his seventh incarnation. The Seventh Agent confronted Dictator Agorm Hitmas, and was locked away. Dictator Hitmas attempted to mutate the Seventh Agent into a member of his army. At first, this worked, but the Seventh Agent triggered his regeneration to stop it, and became the Eighth Agent.
  • In The Annihilators Part 1, the Eighth Agent cameoed, repeating the ending scene of The Trial of Alan Nomaly. He was bumped into by Excambalir, and then revealed a hologram of Locuss Carceran.
  • During the events of Merry CRSMS, which happened concurrently with RWBYA, the Eighth Agent came to Alan's home to try to spend Christmas with the group. These plans changed when he learned of Alan's disappearance. He attempted to find Alan, though was unable to as Alan had entered a different multiverse entirely, which the TARDIS was incapable of doing. Instead, he was able to use the TARDIS, and the power of a dying star, to project himself and Alan's friend group to Alan in the world of Remnant. The projection ended after the slight falling out between Chloe and Alan. The final credit scene of RWBYA showed the event of the Agent's human form being granted Time Lord physiology by the High Council. After the first Agent left, a future incarnation of the Agent briefly spoke with the Lord President before leaving. It is unknown which incarnation this is.

Powers

  • Given that he is a Time Lord, the Agent has a set of twelve regenerations, giving him thirteen lives. Currently, the Agent is in his Eighth incarnation.
  • Due to him having traveled through much of time and space, the Agent has very enhanced intelligence. This is also due to his Time Lord physiology.
  • The Agent's Time Lord body allows him to absorb large quantities of radiation.
  • The Agent has an immense lifespan, even without considering the regeneration process.

Equipment

  • The Agent possesses a TARDIS, Time And Relative Dimension In Space. He is able to travel through time and space in it. It is bigger on the inside, as is the case with TARDISes. It is disguised as a portajon.
  • The Agent possesses a sonic device, although it is currently unknown if he calls it this. This device allows him to do several things. It has been shown:
    • Diffusing bombs
    • Altering the effects of Richard's machine
    • Holographic projections
  • The Agent can disguise himself as a human with the use of a fob watch, changing his physiology to match a humans, and give him the mindset and memories of a fictional person he makes up for himself.

Weaknesses

  • While the Agent can regenerate, he only has twelve regenerations, meaning when he dies on his thirteenth life, he dies forever, unless he is given a new regeneration cycle before dying. He also will die forever if he is killed whilst regenerating.
  • The Agent's regeneration absorption powers are limited, as too much of a concentrated blast or too much exposure over time can kill him.
  • The Agent largely is susceptible to just about any other means of harm as a human. It's even possible for an incarnation to die of old age, despite the longevity of his species.

Appearances

Trivia

  • The Agent was originally the main character of Alanomaly's scrapped Doctor Who fan fiction, Agent of Time. This show is unintentionally referenced by Starbeard in The Trial of Alan Nomaly.
  • The Agent is the only character aside from Alan to have broken the fourth wall. This does not count characters doing so in The Alan 10 Skits.
  • The First and Fifth Agents appeared in numerical order, while the Seventh and Eighth Agents appeared out of order.
  • While only the First, Fifth, Seventh, and Eighth Agents have appeared properly, as well as the unknown future incarnation, the others up to Eight were shown on the screen of the Agent's TARDIS after regenerating in Alan 10.
  • The Agent's incarnations are meant to emulate the appearance of actual celebrities or people:
    • The First Agent is based on Christopher Lloyd, a nod to the Back to the Future franchise.
    • The Second Agent is based on Morgan Freeman. His white suit is a nod to the movies Bruce Almighty and Evan Almighty wherein Morgan Freeman portrays God, while wearing a white suit.
    • The Third Agent is based on Antonio Banderas.
    • The Fourth Agent is based on Markiplier. His outfit references the video game Among Us as well as the channel Unus Annus that Markiplier did alongside fellow YouTuber CrankGameplays. His hair references Markiplier's pink hair and JackSepticEye's green hair. The 3D glasses reference the Tenth Doctor from Doctor Who.
    • The Fifth Agent is based on Ben Affleck.
    • The Sixth Agent is based on Jim Carrey, especially his appearance as Dr. Ivo Robotnik in the Sonic the Hedgehog movies. His outfit is colored like the non-binary flag.
    • The Seventh Agent is based on PewDiePie, with his outfit resembling one Pewds has actually worn. This was decided upon before the problematic nature of Pewds was widely known, and thusly can't be changed or retconned by this point, unfortunately.
    • The Eighth Agent is based on Alanomaly. The alternate outfit is a nod to the outfit worn by NicePeter when playing Michael Bay in the Steven Spielberg vs Alfred Hitchcock installment of Epic Rap Battles of History.
