RWBY: Witch Hunt is a story based on the Rooster Teeth series, RWBY. It is released both here, and on Archive of our Own.

Plot

RWBY: Witch Hunt focuses on the main villains of RWBY. Cinder Fall, the orphan-turned-killer from Mistral and raised in Atlas. Tyrian Callows, the homicidal scorpion Faunus from Kemonoyuri. Hazel Rainart, the unsure villain. Arthur Watts, one of Atlas' greatest minds, once upon a time. And of course, Salem, the Grimmified, immortal lady of destruction and chaos. The story covers a more in-depth look at the origins of the inner circle, and how they eventually came to be recruited by Salem.

Trivia

• This series is heavily inspired by the RWBY novels by E.C. Myers, particularly the latest release, RWBY: Roman Holiday, which covers the origins of Roman Torchwick and Neopolitan.
• The quotes associated with each chapter relate to the main character of the respective chapter. As time goes on, and the "main character" of the chapter becomes less definitive, the quotes will instead relate to the events of the chapter in some fashion.
• The title directly references the phrase "witch hunt," the search for and prosecution of someone accused of witchcraft, especially in the times of the Salem Witch Trials, of which Salem's name originates. Salem herself, aside from being an allusion to the Wicked Witch of the West from The Wizard of Oz, has garnered the title of witch in-universe, and this story covers her "hunt" for her modern day inner circle.
