Mera serves as a protagonist in Justice League: Aftermath. She is the current queen of Atlantis.
Appearance[]
Mera has olive colored skin, bright red hair, and turquoise colored eyes. She wears Atlantean armor with jagged patterns, and colored three shades of teal. It is also asymmetrical across the chest. She has a golden belt with the Atlantis sigil, as well as a crown that also sports this sigil.
Personality[]
Mera has been shown thus far to be caring and strong, fully supporting her husband, Aquaman, given his turmoil and stress of running the Justice League and being king of Atlantis. She also, like any normal person, is off-put by the Question.
History[]
After the deaths of the Big Three, Mera has taken over more of the political side of things in Atlantis in an effort to better help Aquaman with his stress.
In Case 1: Oswald Cobblepot, Mera comforted Aquaman as he stood at the Justice For All statues and confessed to her his plight. The two of them had a touching moment which was interrupted by the Question's sudden appearance and awkward demeanor, until his departure a few moments later.
Powers[]
- Mera wields many of the same powers as Aquaman, namely her underwater survivability, enhanced strength and durability (the latter of which is aided by her armor), immunity to extreme temperatures, hydrokinesis, and super speed swimming.
- Mera is proficient with politics, especially those of the ocean's kingdoms. This has proven helpful in her attempts to aid Arthur with Atlantis' issues since he began leading the Justice League.
- Mera also has her own trident.

Trivia[]
- Mera's model art as made using Eunice's model art from Ben 10: Omniverse.
- Mera's outfit was made with the intention of ignoring the ample cleavage usually associated with the character. This was originally going to be done by emulating the armor worn by the Amber Heard version seen in the both the 2017 theatrical cut and Zack Snyder Cut Justice League movies, though it was decided to give her a more unique and new design instead. The crown, however, still has some inspiration from that appearance.
- In more traditional DC media, Mera's species is listed as a Xebellian. In this continuity, "Atlantean" is a more umbrella term for the species, including the Xebellians as a part of them, just being from the kingdom of Xebel instead of Atlantis. This does not, however, include the Brine, Fisherman, or Trench, given their vast differences, as opposed to the Xebellians and Atlanteans who are fairly identical to one another.
