Debut Case 1: Oswald Cobblepot

Clark Kent (primarily known as Superman) haunts the narrative in Justice League: Aftermath. He was a member of the Justice League, being one of the Big Three, as well as being the protector of Metropolis.

Appearance[]

Despite being from another world, Clark appears to be of Korean descent. He has a muscular, albeit thin frame, and wears a primarily deep blue outfit. A red cape drapes from his shoulders, held onto the suit by golden cuffs. He has red boots with black details, and the outfit's gloves are black with red accents. Zigzag patterns colored black and red decorate his biceps. He has a red and golden belt attached to black briefs. His iconic S emblem has a black background rather than the typical yellow.

When Clark was under the control of Vandal Savage, he wore the Black Suit, which had white accents throughout.

Personality[]

It isn't currently known what this iteration of Clark acted like.

History[]

Clark was a founding member of the original Justice League, and a member of the big three alongside Wonder Woman and Superman. As seen in the flashbacks of Case 1: Oswald Cobblepot, he was present for victories against the likes of Vandal Savage, Brainiac, Amazo, and Steppenwolf.

Three months prior to the series' start, Clark, along with Diana and Bruce, was killed under mysterious circumstances. Since their deaths, a likeness of them was built in the form of the Justice For All statues, which reside in front of the Hall of Justice in Washington, D.C. All that was left of Clark after his death was his S, left scorched and tattered, which Aquaman gave to Lois Lane.

Powers[]

  • Clark had enhanced strength, durability, and speed, putting him in the same caliber as Wonder Woman and Aquaman for the former two, and The Flash for the latter.
  • Clark had both heat vision and x-ray vision.
  • Clark was gifted with super hearing, allowing him to hear an unfathomable long distance away.
  • Clark had the ability to utilize a freezing breath.
  • Clark could survive in both space and underwater with ease.

Weaknesses[]

  • Certain materials could bypass Clark's durability. Most notable of these is Kryptonite, which also weakened his powers. Additionally, Atlantean steel could pierce his skin.
  • Clark was susceptible to mental manipulation, having been impacted by Vandal Savage's use of the Motherbox to manipulate him, and then later brought out of this brainwashing through a combination of Aquaman's mental manipulation and Wonder Woman's Lasso of Truth.

Appearances[]

Trivia[]

  • Clark's model art as made using Max Tennyson's flashback model from Ben 10: Omniverse.
  • Clark's emblem having black instead of yellow alludes to the Superman of Kingdom Come. The additional black and red details were inspired by an old piece of Superman fanart drawn by ClockworkFirelfy in 2015.
    • Additionally, Clark being designed to have Korean features was also done as a node to ClockworkFirefly, due to his Korean heritage and desire to see a version of the character be of Asian descent.
