Anton Ferdinand is a Mesmer from the planet Earth. He is the only known unaligned Fæ.

Appearance

Anton is a lanky individual. He has long red hair done in a braided ponytail, and his eyes are silver. He wears a deep purple shirt underneath an orange vest, and has black pants and brown boots.

Personality

Anton Ferdinand is a crazed fanatic. He views all Blood Royalty post-Jesus Christ to be "false kings" (or false queens). He goes so far as to say that Jesus' immediate successor, Judas Iscariot, only blessed Fæ-kind with his suicide, as the only other notable thing Judas did as Blood King was adding the divide between Light and Dark. His twisted view on this caused him to be unaligned, going against Fæ culture. Anton is also quite disrespectful to Amos even after death, mocking his corpse multiple times.

Anton is quite knowledgeable in how the Fæ court works, knowing that without an active Blood Royalty, he wouldn't be able to be properly tried and prosecuted.

History

• Alan Normally: About seventeen years prior to this episode (in which the flashback takes place), Anton Ferdinand used his Mesmer powers to make Blood King Amos summon his Ash and Morrigan, along with their respective disciples. Three days later, the lot of them arrived to find Blood King Amos murdered and strung up on a cross. Anton eventually reveals himself as the murderer, as well as revealing that he didn't choose between the Light and Dark, calling such a system "nonsense." He was apprehended by the Ash and Morrigan and set to face trial when the next Blood Royalty was found. His fate, however, was left unknown.

• Anton's first name comes from Franz Anton Mesmer, the individual in which the name "Mesmer" comes from.
  • His last name comes from Franz Ferdinand, simply because of the shared first name with Mesmer.
